BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE:
The Mary Ann Lee Multi-Purpose Addition
Thanks to the remarkable generosity of Mary Ann Lee and other leadership gifts, $1,591,00 has already been committed toward construction of the Mary Ann Lee Multi-Purpose Addition on the grounds of Miriam School.
The Miriam Foundation has received a $250,000 challenge grant from the J. E. and L. E. Mabee Foundation toward construction of the Mary Ann Lee Multi-Purpose Addition. The prestigious Mabee Foundation in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will give the final $250,000 toward the gym when the Miriam Foundation raises the balance of $370,535 needed for the total project.
Outright gifts and pledges to be paid in 3 years or less will count toward the challenge. This award is yet another significant vote of confidence in the Miriam Foundation and its benefactors as we celebrate our 100th birthday.
The Mabee Foundation’s challenge grant recognizes the importance of a new gym and the expanded activities and programs which will take place within the facility. Miriam School students, Miriam Learning Center students and our community will all benefit.
Groundbreaking will take place in June 2010 with completion expected in early 2011.
