Miriam Switching Post
A unique resale shop specializing in gently used furniture,
lamps, mirrors, artwork, decorative items, antiques, china,
crystal and silver. Inventory changes often, so you never know
what treasures you might find.
Donation of these items is welcome and gratefully accepted. Proceeds benefit the programs of the Miriam Foundation. Itemized receipts for donations are issued for tax purposes and are based on the fair market value of the item. We recommend that donors consult their tax advisors.
Donations may be brought to the shop during business hours: Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Large items in excellent condition may be scheduled for pick-up by our mover. To schedule an appointment, call 314.646.7737.

Downsizing, closing up a household or planning a move can be a time-consuming and frustrating experience. Especially when trying to manage family matters over long distance. With over 30 years of experience, our team of knowledgeable volunteers will help to ease the transition.
With no obligation, our Estate Services Manager will meet with you to determine how Miriam Estate Services can best fulfill your needs and provide a mutually agreeable schedule, terms and contract. Fees are based on volume and extent of work involved. All services are performed while the home is vacant.
A variety of fee based services are available:

We provide a comprehensive HOUSEHOLD EMPTY-OUT SERVICE. Our volunteers sort and pack the entire home. We coordinate distribution of the entire contents to suitable charities, recycling, document destruction, or hauling.

The Miriam Switching Post provides a detailed itemized inventory of your donation for tax purposes, and whenever possible we obtain donation receipts from the other charities as well. The home is left broom clean and empty.

If the home is to be offered for sale, our talented volunteers can provide a Partial Empty- Out, leaving your home elegantly staged for sale and returning to complete the Empty-Out when a contract is accepted.

For homes where community or building regulations prohibit public estate sales, we provide an ELITE SUITE of services including Partial Empty-Out, Staging Services and Private Sale. Our Elite Suite services provide secure, discrete and cost effective removal and liquidation of estates.
